This October, the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, will host the inaugural event of the USLA Rising Stars Model and Movements Challenge. This marks the beginning of a series designed to showcase and celebrate the Lusitano horse across the United States and Canada, setting the stage for ongoing celebrations of the breed..

This October, the US Lusitano Association (USLA) is proud to present the 2024 Lusitano Conference at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. This annual event promises a full schedule of educational and competitive activities designed to celebrate and enhance the Lusitano breed, showcasing the versatility and excellence of these magnificent horses.

Rafael Soto: A Master of Dressage

Rafael Soto, an Olympic silver medalist, is an esteemed figure within the equestrian community, renowned for his contributions to dressage. As a rider and trainer, Soto has achieved notable success, including representing Spain in international competitions. His expertise and passion for teaching have made him a beloved and respected mentor in the art of dressage, particularly with the Lusitano breed. Rafael Soto will be joined by his son, Rafael Soto Rosado, who is currently competing at the Grand Prix level with Importante II, a Lusitano horse sired by Pionero.

Pedro Torres: Champion of Working Equitation

Pedro Torres is recognized worldwide for his accomplishments in working equitation, a discipline where he has claimed more international championships than any other competitor.
